Surface Noise Issue 2 – July 2021

Welcome one and all to Surface Noise Issue #2! I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I have surprised myself by actually doing a second issue. I was totally blown away by how many copies of Issue #1 that I sold and some of the kind words that followed.

Since the first issue there have been a plethora of gigs announced (I managed to grab myself tickets to Bartees Strange). There have been more post-Covid test events though UK governement still hasn’t issued guidance for festivals based on these, resulting in further festival cancellations.

There has been loads of great new music released, in this issue I review Remember Sports, Fresh, McKinley Dixon, Nightjars, Good Sleepy and Parting.

There are also interviews with Supermilk, Oceanator and Lakes. I share my thoughts about Record Store Day as we have also had the first drop of the year. // Purchase a copy
